I was fixing breakfast for my kids this morning when I suddenly detected a very strong odor of hefeweizen. I thought maybe I'd left an empty glass out from last night, but then realized the odor was coming from the girls bananas. Should I be letting my girls eat these things? Does anyone know what the alcohol content might be?

Bananas are too alkaline to ferment well. Also, you have to mix them with papaya to break down the starches.
