Just wondering - anyone try, or know someone who has tried to make a Wheat-Marzen hybrid? (With or without success). Was toying with the idea since I have a newly acquired spare fridge, and I would like to try to do my first 'lagered' beer.

Thanks!

Well there really doesn't seem to be a problem here. There certainly are wheat lagers available, and Marzen's maltyness would probably compliment this nicely. I would think that it would work nicely.
What sort of yeast were you thinking of using?

not sure... I'm going to research it, maybe talk with my LHBS guys and see what they think, (they're usually biased to WLP strains, though.) I'm open to suggestions.

I came up with a pretty B.A. name though (at least, I thought) "Holloweizen".
