I just brewed my second batch and now i have some left over ingredients from this and the last one, I was wondering if anybody knew a recipe that called for these ingredients together.

3/4 lb Peated Malt
2oz Cascade Hops
2 lbs Dry Dark Malt
4 lbs Liquid Dark Malt

I was thinking possibly a smoked porter or maybe a rauchbier... but if there are any other suggestions...
 
I'd vote for smoked porter, and I'd probably throw in some cara or crystal, but then I have some laying around. 3/4 lb of peated may be too much, but I haven't used much of it, we usually smoke our own. I would probably try it because I like smoke flavor, some do not.
 
Peated malt and smoked malt are NOT interchangeable! I can't think of any use for peated malt as it has a pretty awful taste. I know some people have used an ounce or two for Scottish ales. I think you'll be stuck with .75 pound for a long time! It should take years to use that up.

You can do quite a bit with dark malt extract, though. I'd lean towards a stout or porter, or another dark beer.
 
what about the cascade hops, are their any good recipes that call for dry dark malt extract and cascade hops?
