What is the formula for reducing AG wort?

Since don't yet have a propane burner or big pot, I will be using two smaller pots on the glass topped electric range. I can get a pretty good boil on it, but I don't know if I would call it a "rolling boil".

This will be my first try at AG. I'm doing a 3 gallon batch, for my new 3 gallon keg. I will need to reduce a little over 5 gallons down to about 3.5 gallons.

I need to know how long the reduction will take, so I can figure out when to add the bittering hops.

With two pots, you should be able to boil off 1.5 gallons in 60 minutes.

Excellent, I can add the hops from the beginning. I guess I need to reduce the amount a tad, or use a less potent strain, since I will be boiling them in a larger volume.
