Regulator Question

This may be a dumb question, but I'd like to know now instead of the weekend:

I bought a Taprite Dual Gauge Regulator. Are the knobs turnable without gas hooked up? Everything arrived last week, and I was out of town this past weekend, so I'll be building the kegerator this weekend, and I can't decide if it's suspicious or not that the knobs don't turn without gas.

They should be, check the lock-nuts.

I think they are lockable. You either have to push them in or pull them out so they turn.

they should turn both with and without gas. I think the taprite regs do include a lock, wither a nut, or a push/pull to turn them..

My brewlogics have no lock, and turn with and without gas connected.

When in doubt, call the retailer you got them from, they will likley take 2 minutes to walk you through what you need to know.
