I just read on a companies website that one should disassemble the ball valve after each brew - and boil it to sanitize. I have a keggle with a 2-piece SS ball valve and have never removed it. I do sanitize barbed fitting (once and a while) but never the valve itself. I have not had an infection that I am aware of. My concern is that always removing and replacing the valve will at some point screw up the weldless fitting. I'd hate to find out mid brew that my weldless fitting is leaking.

I'm wondering what others do. Thanks.

Probably not necessary for most of us. If you recirc during the boil, the problem takes care of itself. Just make sure to clean the valve to minimize chances of mold/etc between brews.
