I have done a few batches now but have never used yeast nutrient. I will be pitching a rehydrated dry yeast (no starter) and wanted to add some nutrient to the wort in the carboy. Is this a bad idea? if this is recomended do i need to boil it for the last 5min to sanitize? thanks for the info will be pitching in an hour!!

Yes, just put it in the last few minutes of the boil.
