I brewed an Irish stout from a partial grain kit. I fermented for two weeks. FG was steady for a few days. I was expecting the beer to be black but it was brown and not very dark. I will probably try this again any suggestions on how to get a pretty much black beer?

It really is up to the recipe. More dark grains would make a darker stout, but a good base beer is also important.

What was your recipe? We can help you add grains to get you a darker color.
