I brewed my third beer on Friday morning so it will be 5 days tomorrow.

This will be my frist time transfering my beer to a secondary. Is a week - 10 days cool.

I want to dry hop this brew. Should I dry hop when I transfer to the secondary and leave them in there for 2 weeks or so? ( only have .4 oz of cascade hops, will this even have much affest on the beer??)

Thanks for an advice.

Your right on track.

5 to 7 days is optimal. 10 is acceptable.

When you dryhop, put the hops in the secondary, and put the beer on top. 2 weeks is great.

.4 oz will have some effect on the beer, but usually I use about an ounce or more for five gallons. Do what you have planned.

Enjoy, and post back with the outcome.

i have a pale ale. American Pale ale II from morebeer. I made the exact recipe a month ago and am now drinking it, but wanted to dry hop it this time; havnt ever dry hoped.

Dry hoping pale ales is cool right?

You think I should get an oz or so to make a difference in flavor? Cascade???

The brew recipe has magnum for bittering, willamette for flavor, and cacade for aroma.

thanks

will .4 oz dry hop even change flavor or do I need to go for 1-2 oz??
