so I see random recipes and some do not have yeast suggestions. My question is how do you know what kind of yeast to use with what you are brewing. Does anyone have any good information or an article I can read so I will know what style of yeast I may want to use with different beers I am brewing. thanks in advance and I look forward to learn much more about yeast!!!!

If you are brewing just a traditional ale and don't know wtf to use...Safale US-05 will usually get the job done

Yeah. Safale US-O5 or While Labs WLP001 or Wyeast 1056 are all fairly neutral and will work for many different ales. Unless your brewing something that requires a specific strain, like a hefe for example, one of these will do fine.
