I am noticing a lot of people talking about head space and oxidation being bad durring the secondary fermantation. The True Brew kit that I have came with a 6.5 gal carboy as a secondary fermenter. Since I will be mainly brewing 5 gal batches, should I not be using this large carboy as a secondary? I use a 6.5 gal fermenting bucket as the primary as well which I think is good.

At this point I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think your beer will be in the secondary long enough to hurt it. Also, the beer will Degas a little when you rack it and the CO2 will help displace the O2.:mug:
