I just had a bottle poured into a pint glass and an hour later there is still a decent foam layer on the beer. At the beginning it poured a perfect .75 inch. Another thing I am wondering is it seems thin on the mouth feel and the carbonation seems more "fizzy" than "bubbly".

Anyone care to comment on what mey be the cause of this?

Other than the above the beer has a great flavor and is very drinkable. Just wondering what may cause these "flaws".

Thanks.

Well, the "fizzy" thing may be a high carbonation issue. How much sugar did you use to prime? I learned to not use a full 5 ounces, seems to make my beers to "fizzy."

4 oz. for just under a 5 gal batch...yeah, I know fizzy is kind of a vague description. I expect an IPA to have a more "creamy?" head.

Recipe would be helpful as some ingredients provide body, mouth feel and head retention, etc.
