Why don't you tell us a little about your brewing experience? What equipment you have and the availability of ingredients. There are lots of recipes but we need to know what you can do. Why do you want such a high alcohol brew?

Here is what I have:

a six gallon food grade plastic bucket with spiggot
a six gallon food grade plastic bucket with spiggot and airlock
15 ozs of nugget 12.3% hops
7.5 ozs of cascade 8.8% hops
5lbs of dry light amber
6lbs of honey
3 11 gram packets of notingham dry yeast
5 stage water filtration system

I recently made a brew using the following:

6.6 lbs of dark extract
1lb of dry light amber
1lb of chocolate malt
1oz of Nugget
.5 oz of Cascade
packet of notingham yeast

This turned out OK. But, a guy I work with made some pale ale with a real kick. I was looking for a way to make something like that.

Thanks

Sorry for the questions but my hooch meter kind of went off with your original question. We get kids on here sometimes asking how to make high alcohol beverages.

Did you check out our recipe database? There are some barelywine recipes that you might want to look through. Most of them are all grain but someone can usually help you convert it. Of course you can up the alcohol of most brews by adding more fermentables but it doesn't always make for a balanced beer.

Have you ever thought about making mead? You have the honey for a couple gallon batch and that had some kick.

Does anyone know how this might turn out, as far as taste.
