Since I'm still a noob, and I can admit it, I have no problems posting my blunders. For the first time, after my starter was going I decanted off the beer added more wort, and let's see how big I can make this starter.

800mL was probably a little much....This is what I woke up to this morning:

I knew I was in trouble last night, when I had activity after an hour.
 
I know...it was a tough call tossing those little guys in the top, but i figure it wasn't that much yeast...but it made me think about a new way to seperate yeast from the trub....
 
You should really just be using a piece of tinfoil or a foam stopper for your starters, also if you add just one drop of foam control you wont have to worry about that again.

Kind of like a mini Burton Union System
