Sure enough I ended up with the MB setup in a gift exchange, it was on! After stumbling upon this site i didn't even give the first recipe the 'by the book' treatment.

Now I've got three 2g. primaries, bottling buckets, hydrometer, fixed thermometer, hop sacks, crimper's, more bottles around the house than I know what to do with and an entire fridge shelf dedicated to homebrews, hops and yeasties.

Next plan is to boil various hops, dme, grains, ect to educate my palate on the flavors. maybe even cook up a case of single bottle brews just to see how the yeasts alter the flavor....

Here's what I've brewed thus far>>>

mmmmm....the dark one on the right in the last pic looks divine.
Nice set up! Looks like you are having fun!

Nice, but some advice, no more pictures of your legs....and more of the missus. :mug:

Speak for yourself. :D Not that she's not gorgeous, I just float another direction in life.

My first brewing experience was at Brew Bakers. Actually, did a team building event there and had so much fun. Unfortunately, we never saw the beer because the guy who was supposed to pick it up just took it home. I miss their cheese jalapeño bread too.

Welcome to HBT!

Just stumbled across this thread somehow...looks like a fun place!
My girl likes me homebrewing, mainly so she can drink it though!

Hey Guys!

It's been a while, ok looking back on the photos above a long while.....But do not fear as I have continued to brew over 30 five gallon batches ranging from XPA,IPA,APA,XXIPA,Marzen,American Stout,Espresso Stout,American Hefeweizen,Bavarian Hefeweizen,IPL,Winter Ale to Rye IPA.

Tapped into http://thebrewingnetwork.com/shows
and have since turned my 2hr daily commute into a learning session where I've listened to the better 2/3's of The Jamil Show and Brew Strong.
I've dove into water chemistry, phun intended
I've been propagating yeast
Received a few competition scores in the high thirties
and acquired a larger kettle, kegerator, keezer, three-five gallon fermenters and more knowledge than I know what to do with!

Although I still and probably won't ever know all there is to know, I enjoy the learning and will continue this venture ;)

Here's what I've been up to>>>

Wow. You've been a busy brewer bee.
All this from a good idea for a birthday gift certificate!
