Hey folks-
I recently purchased some grains (already mixed together kit from BMW) to 'fix' a bad attempt at a Saison. I was planning on blending the two Saison's together to get rid of the first botched batch. I have since decided not to do that and want to make some additions to this recipe to make it good, even if I don't use Saison yeast and do something else.. but I have the grains and hops so I'm asking for some help in making this recipe work for me.
15 gal:
25 lb Pilsner Malt
3 lb Acidulated Malt
2 lb Munich II
2 lb Pale Wheat
.375 lb Caramel Munich
6 oz Styrian Goldings.
I know it's a bit of Acidulated malt, so if a different recipe works better, aka maybe a faux sour beer, I'll go for that.
I learned my lesson screwing with a Saison recipe when I don't know what the ingredients taste like yet. (but not before buying these grains, evidently).
Help me Obi-Wan.
