hi all ibought a wyeast smack pac in late nov and just got around to using it .2206 bavarian.i smacked it yesterday and no swelling.it has been in the back of the fridge allthis time.my plans are to make a starter and brew monday.is the yeast dead or can i use it.please help

There really in no way to tell you but by making a nice large starter you will know. It's likely some of the yeast cells have perished but I would bet you may be able to revive the good ones with a starter.

Yep. The best thing to do is to make a healthy starter. There are likely some viable cells in there, you just have to make them multiply.
