Hey everyone, one of my friends is getting married in June and asked if I could make a couple beers for his wedding. He wanted an Oaked Bourbon Stout and an Orange Honey Wheat.
So far here are the recipes that I have come up with. Any critiques/advice would be appreciated
Oaked Bourbon Stout:
5 Gal, 64% efficiency
Grains:
14lbs Pale Ale Malt (68.4%)
2lbs Munich II (9.8%)
1lb Caramel 120 (4.9%)
1lb Caramel 40 (4.9%)
10oz Brown Malt (3%)
10oz Cafara Special III (3%)
10oz Chocolate Malt (3%)
10oz Roasted Barley (3%)
Hops
2oz Super Galena @ 60 (77IBUs)
1.6 oz Centennial @ 2 (3.6 IBUs)
Yeast
US-05
Adjuncts
2oz White Oak Cubes soaked in Bourbon until desired level of oak
Bourbon to taste at bottling
