This may seem like a stupid question, but I just want to make sure I go about this correctly.

I found some stuff on craigslist that I want to get. I'm guessing you just click on the sale link and it emails the person. Is there anything I should know..or include in my email to the person?

Not really, just get pictures if you can and if not be prepared for that shiny brand new widget to be well worn and barely usable. Also feel free to haggle a little but be nice if they refuse.

Good luck.

Meet in person to view the item. Craigs list has gone to a good deal haven to rip-off / scam city in the past few years. Also pickup and "touch" the item your buying!

I use Craig's List as a garbage disposal...no matter what old junk you need to get rid of, a free listing on CL will dispose of it promptly. I've given away badly obsolete computers, broken TV sets & monitors, three broken down recliners, a rusted out ancient gas grill, my broken garage door opener, etc. The word "free" word seems to trigger a Pavlovian response in some people, causing them to salivate over your useless stuff. Beats hauling it to the dump!

Well the guy put up pics of the stuff.........too bad the jerk hasn't emailed me back yet. :(

Ya I mean if its related to homebrewing I am sure its fine. I was more or less looking at electronics, autos and such. My dad almost got ripped on a 2001 goldwing, and co-worker on a used honda. Both had pictures, convincing stories, responded to emails ect. Both turned out to be fraud. I was just saying if you buy from craigs list to be careful.

One other question......do I have to have a craigslist account to email the person? I clicked the link and it just popped up my outlook email. So, I emailed through that.

ok so about the whole scam thing. The bird posting that made me wonder if they even had that (I never noticed) I clicked on women wanting to meet men and I clicked on this one chick and thought wth I'll shoot her an email. About 10 min later I guess this email back.

Hey I got your email from my ad I posted. What in my ad interests you? Did you like my pic I posted on there? I know I talked about some stuff in my ad but what do YOU actually do for fun and whats your ideal date or would your ideal date be like?

If you tried to send me a photo I didn't get it, my email won't let me download attachemnts for some reason. It's probably my email messing up. Stupid email it can be a problem sometimes. I think it's because probably cuz computers HATE me but I try my best.

I do most of my 'correspondence' on my blog cuz it's not blocked at work, plus it's like myspace but without the 14 year old kids lol.. My work has some internet thing where they are able to block some sites.

My blog/profile is where you'll find my bio/stuff about me etc plus I keep a mini photo journal of life. On my profile I have a couple more pics of myself that you can look at on my journal so... You should check it out, you might have to sign up to view profiles, I think so but its free anyway. You can view my profile by clicking here or cut and pasting the link w.islovedbybritney.com/mypics/[/url] you can search for ******* once you're there.

****** (my real name, was too scared to use it on craigslist)

P.S. I hope you don't mind but I was feeling a bit frisky so I included a pic I took today! I'm so excited!

She sent some pic on her in bed ...............I'm thinking this was like an auto reply for some escort or something. Something isn't right here...

Almost definitely auto reply. Did you give out your real email address? If it is a spammer, these people aren't escorts, they sell email addresses.

I almost didn't, but I ended up using my real one.......crap

oh well thinking about it more........gmail has a pretty good spam filter so I'm not too worried.
