brewtarget problem... Recipes keep disapearing

I have been using brewtarget for the last 2 years and I just lost all of my recipes for the second time. Have I done something to cause it to delete my recipes? I am at a loss over this. I have even downloaded the trial version of beersmith and don't really like it. I even entertained the idea of formulating my recipes by hand.

IIRC, Brew Target stores the recipes in XML files. Search your computer (using Explorer, not Brew Target) and you should find them.
