Hi folks,
I'm convinced that fermenting at the correct temperaure is important. I'm also sold on the idea of a chest freezer with a temp controller.
Would it also be possible to put my dispensing keg in there with the fermenting kegs? We brew ales (not lagers) so I'm thinking of using Safale K-97 - a German ale yeast with an optimum fermentation temp of 48 - 59F.
I would set the controller to 55F. My understading is that the temp would then flucuate between 50 -55F which would be fine with me and the yeast.
Long term goal would be then to build a bar around the chest freezer.
Any thoughts?
Cheers!
