Is there an alternative to glass thermo's? The bottom keeps cracking when it gets bumped or anything like that, this makes 3 thermo's in 4 batches. Not wanting to weld a fixed turkey style in my keggle-harder to stir, remove hop bags and BIAB. Can anyone suggest a rubber or plastic mod to ad to the bottom of my thermometer tha can handle the heat?

are you using those floating ones... go with a digital if you keep breaking them

Just don't stir with it or anything - they're delicate tubes. I learned this in chem lab in college. I never keep mine in my wort long, just use and sanitize as needed. Or go digital, like CDbrews said.
