I'm upgrading my FC to be a dual chamber FC.
(Rip it apart and start over...)

What have you guys done to attach the door. The previous
build used the original door hinges. But now I'm adding more
insulation (2.5") so the top hinge that attached to the top of
the FC now has to attach to the wall.

I think the bottom hinge is okay as it attaches (on or into the wall.)

Any thoughts ?

Can you show what you mean? My FC I used piano hinges, and will never go back, they work so much better than the others. Look pretty good too.

i don't see a picture.
are you unable to keep the hinges, and layer insulation over them and/or into the door opening?

I'm expanding the FC larger than the refrigerator size. Thus the door
that fit on the refrigerator is now smaller than the new wall.

The new door wall will be 48" long by 39.5" high. The door is 19.5" wide by 32" high.
I'm putting 2.5" insulation (ISO foam boards) on the ceiling. The existing hinge
holds the door by a vertical pin. It screws on the top of the refrigerator and presses
into a hole in the door. So either I try to bend the metal plate to attach to the wall, or
get something else - either screw into the side of the door, or something that has a pin
that can hold the door.

I'm making this thing to hold the minibrew conical I picked up this year (along with a few cornys.)
