all yeast? no. flavor? no effect. ease of bottling/transferring? awesome!!!!
it helps precipitate yeast and haze, and keep it glued to the bottom. gelatin rocks, unless you are a yeast-farmer (and it still rocks then too).
err, no. i can't say it actually has any impact on carbonation speed. really, the only thing you can do to remove all yeast is a 0.5 micron sterile filter--which neither you or I have
use gelatin, unless you are a vegan there aren't any drawbacks.
