I made a true brew IPA kit for my second brew ever. I left it in primary for a week, secondary for a week and then kegged under pressure for another week at about 35 degrees. It tastes ok, but not what I expected. It has a caramel taste to it. I do remember making a mistake when I made it, I forgot to put the screen in my funnel so everything went into the primary. Would that cause this flavor? I'm hoping as it ages a little more it might go away.
My first brew was a blackberry porter that came out awesome, unfortunately I kicked that keg last night.
