If I end up using an aluminum boil pot one review said to condition it first. I'm not sure what that means. Any help
 
Fill it with water and bring it to a boil for maybe 20 minutes. It should get a discolored layer on the inside. Could be anything from a dull grey to black.
 
Once you get that layer of oxidation in your pot do not scrub it away when cleaning. After your boil just rinse out the pot and maybe use a plastic scrubby (if needed) to gently get out any dried wort. If you do scrub out the oxide you will have to do another plain water boil to get it back.
