I've been lurking here for a while now. I took a course in college at Western Kentucky U, "Cultural History of Alcohol", that really started my interest in homebrewing. In that course we learned a lot about the history and cultural implications of all types of alcohol, beer tastings, and extract brewing. So that pretty much got me hooked on the hobby.
Anyhow, after graduation I moved to Indianapolis (NE side) for a new job and just now finished putting my first homebrew setup together. I brewed my first extract batch last night, an amber ale.
Just thought I would say hello!
