I brewed a EPA a week ago and I was not to sure about my yeast ( I should have made a starter) used a wyeast pack. I had a pretty good initial fermentation, however now everything is dormant, I swirled the carboy to agitate the yeast but that didnt do anything. I'm going to check the specific gravity, but I was wondering if it is ok to add more yeast or not if I don't get a good sp? I have a vial of White labs california Ale yeast that I could use.

Like JoMarky says, check your gravity and if good, rack to secondary and let it sit in there for a couple weeks before packaging, assuming the gravity is good.

It might say with the instructions that came with the kit. If not it can be figured out by your O.G. and the yeast strain.
