I brewed my first batch 2 weeks ago. I let it ferment in the primary for 5 days until it showed no signs of active fermentation. I then racked it to my secondary. It is 9 days later and it looks like there is no more "action". I am assuming this is normal. Should I take a hydrometer reading and taste it to see if it is done, or should I wait for another week? Does it really need two full weeks in the secondary?

It's probably done, but never (NEVER!) bottle without confirming fermentation is Complete via a series of hydrometer readings.
