one of the FBI's psychologists (Dr. Alana Bloom) is a former student or co-worker of Dr. Lecter and is having dinner with him. They are preparing dinner together when Dr. Lecter asks Dr. Bloom if she would like some wine.

she replies that she prefers beer.

Dr. Lecter opens his fridge and tells her he has something that is both, a barley wine that he aged in a wine barrel.

"I bottled it myself."

Interesting. I couldn't get into the series, but I do like the movies. Well all of them but Hannibal.
