I had my first saison last night, or at least it was the first time I chose a saison on purpose and knew what I was drinking. It was Slyfox saison and it was awesome. A kind of an experience if you know what I mean, and now I understand why this is such a popular spring/summer beer.
I liked it enough that I think I'll brew up a few batches this spring, to have around for the entire summer. From what I think of saisons so far, they could be the beer that even the Coors Light beer lovers like. And it seemed to be a well balanced brew for men and women, not to harsh and not too girly.
What are your favorite saisons and how often do you brew them? I'd like to do 10-15 gallons and spread the joy to my friends this summer.
