exhaust fan ....condensation drips .....help....pic

Hi
I am trying to get my clean in place ebiab basement setup done.

Just tested my setup and a lot of drips went back in the kettle.
I guess this is not good?

What do I do?

U want a vented baffle at an angle, not a concave dome above it.

Or a much bigger dome with channels to move the dripping condensation away.

Think of something like this...

Notice the angle of the baffle/vents on the left.

Drips during the boil won't hurt anything, but once you start chilling you are open to contamination. I remove my hood after the boil, but my fan is to the side and continues to remove moisture from the room.

What about this idea?
I move the fan back futher against the wall....
Remove the current piece of pipe from the top elbow and bowl put a long piece of pipe then an elbow right at the top of the kettle.
So it would be kind of a down/side draft thing and not be over the pot.
Any condensation would sit in the elbow that is not over the pot?
The elbow would be right at the top of the pot so all the exhaust would go to the side then up the pipe and out.

Would that work?

This was an epic fail -



I guess my fan and setup to not big enough -
It just collected water in the elbow....it was a big mess



This was the solution



Some day I might move my setup back down where I had it and cut a new whole in the wall...but I guess my current window will work for a while.

Never thought getting this steam out would be such a pain.
