Looks cool, but the only reason to apology is for the make up sex. Otherwise why bother.
I found it just un-natural for options like Dad, brother, etc. Maybe I'm just not with the new age, in touch with your feelings crowd.
I'm sorry / I apology is used when a gun is pointed at your head, or you need to get laid, period. And it is always personal.
