Right now my stir plate is a very minimal design. A piece of plexiglass connected to a 120mm computer fan, hooked up to a 25 ohm rheostat and an old 9v cell phone charger. My rheostat is hot glued to the plexiglass, it works but it isn't pretty!

Any ideas to clean this up a bit at minimal cost? I know I can drill a hole for the rheostat, but I was thinking I'd ultimately prefer for it to be on the side and not the top, and I don't have sides yet!

How to go about adding sides to this? I'd like to be able to disassemble it easily still in case I want to modify it in some way.

can you get plexi glass to finish it? I think that would be pretty cool.
