Live in upstate new york , near Utica and need help finding a good local brewing supply store. I've looked on the web, but not much luck. I'm new to brewing.. So I could use the help .. I also work in and around Albany so I'm in that area a lot . Thanks..

This place has a shop across the river from Albany

https://www.beerbrew.com/?path=Contact

Here's one in Oneida:
Bottom of the Barrel
1736 Mount Hope Avenue
Oneida, New York.
United States of America 13421
(315) 366-0655

And here's a site that let's you search for LHBS by state
"http://"
"homebrewsupply."
"*****************"
".com/index.php"

Hope this helps a little. :mug:

hmmm, apparently you can't post the phrase ***************** on this site

maybe if I
http://homebrewsupply.%brewers%round%table%.com/index.php if you copy & paste that into your browser's address bar and delete the % it should work.

Why do I get the feeling I'm doing something I shouldn't be?

I've used that web site, and found bottom of the barrel, but that's a little out of the way for me, looking for some thing closer. If there is.. I live in dolgeville.

Also looking for some brewing clubs, or groups in the upstate area I could join to learn more..thanks

Ah, I thought you said Utica, well I guess I'll leave it to your local peep's. They'll know best. The beerbrew.com shop is right across the river from ALbany though.

Good luck.

I'm close to Utica ,about 20 min east.. So was hoping I could find something in Utica but no luck, there is a bottom of the barrel in Rome I'll check that out, and next time I'm in Albany I'll go to the emporium thanks guys.. Really don't want to have to resort to online shopping so hope I find a good shop that's close

There's Hammersmith in Latham which is around 20 mins from Albany. http://www.hammersmithhomebrew.com/

My neighbor goes there, but I personally have been turned off by the prices listed on their site. I'd rather buy online. If wasn't a long drive, I'd go to the Homebrew Emporium.

(btw, I'm from the Albany area)

Ya ,I been on hammersmiths web page, and also was turned away by the prices.. But thanks
