My last batch of cider has a very pronounced wintergreen flavor. (not what I was going for!) Anyone have an idea what may have caused it?

5 gallons apple juice ('natural', no added anything)
12 oz maple syrup
22 oz local honey
~1 cup fructose
pectic enzyme
yeast nutrient
D70 yeast

Same basic recipe I've used many times, just never got the strong wintergreen before.

Any ideas out there?
