    Ok..my 5 gallon cherry wine batch is done with a 10 primary ferment...it is now racked in my 5 gallon glass carboy...so, do I leave it upstairs @ 68 to 72 ish degrees....or downstairs @ about a constant 65 ish??...thankx

    OK.......my packet of Montrachet wine yeast...says to rehydrate yeast in 1/4 cup of water...(I used water and Must)...anyway it says for best results rehydrate between 100-105 F wich I did...soooo I am lookijng at the Jack Keller page and is says yeast die at 105 degrees f (almost to the bottom...

    dont get discouraged....you learn a bit each time, and it will get easier...I bottle on brew day, as to save time, I havent seen a bottle yet that dosent take a standard cap, maybe you just a few rebels in there

    I managed to rig up a broken racking cane with my .5 micron ss stone...I use those disposable red cylinders of o2...after I airate my wert (20 seconds)...I boil the stone in water for about 5- 10 minutes then I store it in my starsan solution , just tossing it in the bottle...B4 airating, I just...

    Ok...I went into the lhbs and asked for a S.N.P.A. clone...he came up with this....10 lb 2 row, 1.25 chrystal 60 L 3/4 OZ Newport hops, 60 min......1/2 oz Perle 30 min....2oz Chinook, 5 min....mash 153 1 hr, I brew in a bag so after mash , I cranked up the heat to 165 for 10 min ....stirring...

    Racking cane nightmare, help!

    when I have a lot of hops in my 2nd...I line my bottle bucket with a lowes paint strainer then pull after rack...that way no hop particals clog mu bottling wand wich is a PITA......just saying......Tom

    Ball Valve on Boil Kettle

    cone hops have plugged my ball valve plenty of times..my solution, after the chill i put a nitrile glove on and screw in a kettle screen on the inside of my pot thru the wert...this way I dont have to lift 5 gallons of beer in a heavy enough 10 gallon pot, saves the ol mans back a bit..just my 2...
