Best dry yeast for a German Pils?

I'm brewing a German Pils soon and I'm thinking of using a dry yeast this time. What is the best dry yeast for that style? I'm looking for a strain that produces clean crisp lagers that emphasize hops more than malt.

    Will Mulberry Saison work?

I was just given a large amount of Mulberries. I'm going to make a batch our wine and I will have a lot left over. I'm thinking they might work in a Saison but I've never tasted a mulberry yet alone brewed with them. What are your thoughts? How many pounds per gallon should I use?

    Question about hop harvesting article

I just read this article on the American Hombrewer Association website and I think they might be incorrect on one point. Here is a direct quote "Pick a cone, roll it in your hands and smell it. If it has a pungent smell between cut grass and onion, it’s time to harvest." My question is if...

I have an unknown variety of hops growing in my yard. The cones have a definite square shape when viewed from the bottom. I'm pretty sure that means they are Cascade. Do you agree?

    Is Willamette usually slow?

I have a 2 year old Willamette plant that has been stuck at the stage where it is just starting to send out sidearms. It has been like that for over 2 weeks. The plant receives over 8 hours a day of full sun. I gave it a healthy dose of manure compost at the beginning of the growing season...

    Hops growing in a fence

These pictures are of an unknown variety of hops that have completely buried a 20 foot section of fence at the bottom of my yard. They spread from my neighbor's yard. He planted them because he thought they would look great in his garden. They are not Japanese ornamental hops because they...
