    DIN rail breakers

Thanks!! My set up is pretty simple. 1 element, 1 PID, and one pump. I'll stick with the fuses for now. Thanks again everyone!

    DIN rail breakers

They do seem more complex when they chose DIN rails. Anyone have a resource for fuse blocks? All I can find is inline fuse holders that will just flop around.

    DIN rail breakers

It also seems that there are more wires involved in the controllers that have breakers. Just my imagination?

    DIN rail breakers

If someone could help me out. I have been looking at everyone's controller set ups and have noticed a lot of people use DIN rail breakers - is this preferred to plain old fuses? What is the benefit? Thanks!

    Where in this wiring diagram?

Excuse my ignorance but your response intrigues me Brundog, you seem to have a deep conviction against PJs diagrams and the resistor method. Admittedly I don't fully comprehend the physics and engineering (or I would not need to post this forum to begin with) behind them, please indulge me as I...

    Where in this wiring diagram?

So I started loading up my shopping cart with parts and while reading through Kal's set up I noticed that he: 1) does not have any resistors listed 2) he does have a 50amp shunt in his set up From what I read it sounds like the shunt and resistors act similarly. Is this correct??

    Where in this wiring diagram?

The push button switches shown, are they 2NO or 1 NO/1 NC. Are these preferred to a selector switch that is turned on/off or does it not matter?

    Where in this wiring diagram?

Hey everyone! The following pics are my simple set up and one of P-Js wiring diagrams. Single 5500w element in the BK. There is no on/off switch with a key (ala Kal's) in the diagram and I would like to add one to turn the control panel on and off. Where in this diagram would I do that...

    Tower-of-Power vs Kal's controller

Going to go to 1bbl (maybe 2bbl) system and will be making it eHerms. Looking at controller and was initially going to go with Kal's but when I decided on Blichman kettles I saw the Tower-of-Power on their site. Anyone like (or heard) one more than the other? Why? Cheers!!

    Post fermentation options

Was planning on Blichman 42 gallon fermenters. Any problems with consistency carbing in your unitanks? Do you force carb in them? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Post fermentation options

Going to be moving up to a 1bbl system and will want to try distributing to local bars in kegs. What options do I have for processes post ferm? Just fill kegs and force carb? Have a brite tank to carb and transfer to keg? What is the cheapest option, what is the fastest way to carb it up...

    EHERMS Opinions

Hello all, Going to be upgrading to a 50 gallon EHERMS system. Top of my list is Kals setup and control panel. Any opinions on others I should consider and why you like it better?? Chris Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Missing my temps.....

I have missed my mash in temps on my last two brews. Using iBrewmaster as usual...... I've been about 10 degrees too low. Thoughts/suggestions??

    27 hrs.....

27 hours and no activity....... used a washed Pacman I had from a prior batch, made a starter even, but nothing!! Should I pull the trigger and throw in my S-05 back up?!?!?! Never had this problem before 😞

    Thanks all!

    Staged brewing

Does anyone brew in stages?? I have been crazy busy lately and can't get a full 5-6 hours to brew. I'm considering doing it in stages: mash/make wort one day, boil and pitch another. Thoughts?

    Yeast age

So I have a bunch of yeast in my fridge..... Some is harvested and washed from past brews, some is still in the original smack pack. Both examples have been there for about 9 months as things came up time after time. Should these be fine if making a starter?? I don't see how they wouldn't...
