The coils are inside the walls of the freezer. There's never been any ice in the interior. The thermostat was set to cycle between 35 and 40. It's warmed to about 70 over the past couple days.

Where are the condenser coils on the freezer? A lot of chest freezers have them built into the sides... If that's the case you've just insulated them. Looks pretty awesome though.

has anyone used branded beer bottles as tap handles? my kegerator holds 4 5gal so i'll frequent have 1 or 2 commercials going along with my homebrew. i've got official tap handles for some brands but they can be a bit pricey sometimes. if i'm just trying a particular commerical for a 1 time...

sorry for the horribly late reply, got busy with life and totally forgot about posting the pics. the spacers fright101 are absolutely perfect. definitely necessary for anyone using perlicks on anything besides a tower.

awesome. thanks for the pics! i actually saw those same flanges when I went to look at lowes yesterday. They didn't give me the 3/4" spacing I needed tho. I noticed your perlicks are a little different so maybe the angle is bigger on my 525's b/c an extra 3/4" BARELY gives my Blue Moon handle...

the keezer's used for storage of all things alcohol. only the main storage area is reserved for 4 kegs. there's storage on the hump and in baskets that hang from the top so there's quite a bit of other stuff in there besides the kegs that'd like to have regular access to. ah cool. you rock...

hmm that spacer looks great but i've got only about 3/4" of extra thread on my shanks... :( the spacing works about perfect if i slip another piece of 1x4 in there (that's what the collars made from). thanks so much for the offer, but i just bought these and it's actually the mini version...

I just got some perlicks for my keezer and didn't realize how close to the shank the tap handles sit. they overhang my keezer lid and the lid can't be opened without hitting the taps and opening the taps. what have you guys done to correct this? some of the possible solutions i've come across...

do you have a pic? does that replace the regular black plastic ring around the shank?

ya i've got one of those in the keezer but doesn't seem to make too big a difference :(
