    One pound of hops...

Freshops.com is also a very good company. I have ordered from them many times. Only issue I've had is my most recent order included 1.5 lbs of Simcoe and they didn't vacuum the bag. It was just ziptied. All other sizes were vaccummed. I wish they had put it into two smaller bags that were...

I would have gotten the Android one. It's better.

Morebeer.com Is anyone familiar with this site?

They are a very good company. I've had the Pliny kit and the Double Barrel Ale kit and they were both outstanding. Although, I got the free shipping and they were the slowest to ship of any beer store I have ordered from. It was over 2 weeks.

    Well Played, AHS...

It took over 2 weeks for my last order from Morebeer to ship. AHS has been the quickest to ship for me. They package much better also.

    Homebrew Shops, Dust, and Rodentia

Everyone around here is dusty from grain milling. They clean all the time and do major shelving moves weekly to keep up on it. It's just a result of having the mill in the main room. You would think they would have an enclosed area with exhaust but I haven't seen one set up like that, yet...

    Check my IPA recipie? Simcoe/Centennial

I agree with the 1/2 lb Crystal. You should consider dry hopping with Citra/Simcoe. I would double the FWH hops to 2 oz. and start with Centennial. Then I would use your times but make the last 10 then 5 Simcoe only. I would use 2 oz. of a Simcoe/Citra blend in dry. I'm sure everyone would...

Foothills brewery to aquire Carolina Beer & Beverage

And an even bigger mediocre brewery is created. Of those Foothills is surely the best but they are pretty meh IMO. Best thing about foothills are their labels. Lots of better beer in the state from Pisgah, Mother Earth, Duck Rabbit, etc.

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

For the sake of discussion. I have been here for a long time lurking. I just never cared to register or post. However, I felt compelled to chime in to contribute to this topic as it developed. Should it have been revealed that it was a corrupt vendor I wanted to contribute positively with my...

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

Huh? That doesn't make any sense. Are you suggesting that the other hobby sites don't have hobby specific stores that serve them? and that in the forums of the hobby sites that the members wouldn't be connected through the stores and forums should an event like this occur? I can't follow...

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

I get your point. But again, this is sort of petty with the skimmers and all. It would be silly to suggest there aren't organized criminals doing things of that nature daily. What we are led to believe here is that the processor was hacked. That is significantly different in my view.

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

I disagree with your notion. Like I mentioned before I am member of many hobby forums and have been for over 15 years. Some of hobbies that require significantly more disposable income that have many more members that purchase online all the time. Nothing like this has ever come up. Ever...

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

I realize credit card fraud is common. There is a group here seemingly trivializing this incident comparing it to waiters stealing numbers. I am just stating that this incident is much more significant in number of affected people and degree of compromise comparatively speaking. I am sure...

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

Prior to having my card stolen as a result of buying from AHS I have never had my information compromised and have been making online purchases since early 2000. I am also a member of various hobby message boards and I have never seen anything remotely close to what has happened here. I have...
