Show me your fancy jockey box!

I'm going to buy three 5 gallon buckets just to be safe. At the very least they can hold the extra bags of ice and they'll do enough to cool down the cornies.

Show me your fancy jockey box!

Have you had an opportunity to see how it performs at 80F yet? I just built a 3 tap, 6 pass (doubled up the lines) for a party next weekend that starts at 2pm. Temps could be 90F (or 65F, who knows) and I'm really freaking out if I should buy some 5 gallon buckets and ice my kegs to pre-chill...

DIY Wood and Fiberglass Jockey Box

It looks like a 4 pass cold plate. You can get them from 1 pass to 8 (or more?). Once you go past 2 taps, the stainless steel tubing starts getting expensive and space consuming. The aluminum cold plate has stainless steel lines running through it (approx. 12'-18' per pass). I built a 3...

where can I get some faucets and shanks?

Not entirely true. Ritebrew lists shanks by their thread length and then states the overall size in the description.

where can I get some faucets and shanks?

Just ordered faucets and shanks for a jockey box from Ritebrew.com, thanks for the heads up. I was going to spend quite a bit more on Ebay.

Chicago - Looking for Cold Plate

Ebay has been a bust so far. Maybe I'm not using the right search terms but all I see are 1-2 overpriced listings. Still looking. I have some time, but I'd like to get this taken care of soon so I can start working on the jockey box.

Chicago - Looking for Cold Plate

I overextended myself and volunteered to brew a few batches of beer for a wedding this summer without any thought to how to serve it. I've already purchased a nice 50's aluminum cooler but now I need a cold plate. Needs to be at least 3 pass as that's how many beers I promised, but 6 pass...

    The poor mans kegerator

I got my mini-fridge from Craigslist for $35, much cheaper than buying new if you're willing to shop around. At that price, if I ruined it by cutting in the wrong place, I could afford to buy another one. Maybe you aren't in an area where there is an abundant supply of used fridges but its an...

    Copper Tubing Bending

Doesn't the copper we're all using harden every time you bend it? Your suggestion seems to be the exact opposite of what I've read. Do it right the first time, otherwise it's more likely to kink.

    New Kegs now what

I found this post, and updated the pricing as of today at McMaster. From the FAQs on http://www.brewboard.com/index.php?showtopic=34669 Quote: Q: I just got a bunch of used kegs and I want to replace the o-rings. Do you know where I can get them in bulk? A: Sure. You can get corny keg o-rings...

Brew Room to Bar (here is my build)

That GnR pinball machine is my biggest incentive to finishing my basement. It will be the first purchase when everything else is complete. Very jealous. Going to see them this Tuesday.

    Official Broken Hydrometer Count

+1 = 362 Put some of my brewing supplies in a box above the kitchen cabinets. I must not have done a good job securing the hydrometer because as soon as I raised the box over my head the hydro dropped to the floor.
