Pale Ale (Great Western Pale Malt, C40, all cascade hops, US05)

I don't think I wrote a recipe for this but it was just a quick blonde ale (all grain) with a rare use of S-04 for me. I think it was maris otter, red wheat, and just a little honey malt. I'm much more excited for the IPA I have in primary right now

I do agree that the NEIPA recipes I've seen use a lot more hops than the standard American IPA recipes. Wish I could find a commercial example in Texas!

A pound per 5 gallons? Sorry but that's just not true. Yes you can make one using 16oz of hops but MOST IPA recipes use less and much less than that.

I have 4oz each of Centennial and Citra, so 8 ounces of that and 2oz of CRYO mosaic that apparently is more like 4oz worth

I don't think there are any commercial NEIPAs available where I am so if I want to try one I may have to brew one myself. I have 4oz of Centennial and Citra as well as 2oz of CRYO Mosaic. What kind of recipe should I make given what I have. (5 gallons)

Not a Jaded, this was a basic one that just used vinyl tubing and a hose clamp.

Dry yeast in aerated wort vs no oxygen. I read that dry yeast is prepared in a way that it doesn't need oxygen (or as much oxygen)

My wort chiller leaked chlorinated tap water into my wort last time, that was the last straw.

I would think to mash higher than 150 if you're wanting a session beer, unless you want it to finish really dry

I tried a fast brew day 30 min mash and 30 min boil recently and the beer turned out great. Brew efficiency was even good. I may not do it for every batch but won't hesitate to do it again for certain recipes. I even took samples up to my LHBS and got their feedback before I let them know it...

I started doing full volume mash BIAB for simplicity and ease. Calculate and treat my full volume of water to hit mash pH. I don't think water to grist ratio is really super important in the grand scheme

Also, not all pro brewers are god's gift to beer, there are quite a few homebrewers that I bet would brew circles around some so called "pros"

I have a 15 gallon Blichmann

I was originally looking at the King Cobra since I'm generally only making 5.5 gallon batches in my 15 gal Blichmann and the Hydra will sit above the wort a little bit in that kettle. Maybe Jaded will customize something for me.

Looks like I'll need the Hydra over the Cobra
