    Dry hop bags or overcarbed?

I dry hopped an IIPA in the keg over a month ago. I planned on force carbing and left it at 30 psi for 3 days. It seemed way overcarbed, so I took it off the gas and let it sit a week. No big deal, as I wanted it to soak up some of that Citra yumminess. Anyway, after sitting for a week I...

Did I just kill my yeast?

I use a spare boil pot to sanitize most of my equipment. Just now I threw a smack pack of yeast into it to sanitize the packaging before I opened it. What I didn't remember is that the water in the pot was about 110 F. The pouch swelled up to about twice what it was in the 5-10 minutes I left...

    So, I forgot....

to "smack" my smack pack of yeast until I had the wort chiller going. Is it going to be ok to get the wort down to about 90 F or so, then let it sit with the lid on for a few hours while the yeast get's going?

    Gravity help

I've been scouring the board for a while to find the info I'm looking for, and I'm sure it's here, but I cannot find it. I've got an orange hef fermenting for 9 days now and I went from an OG of 1.0345 to a day nine gravity of 1.0107. From what I understand, I need to get down to about 35% of...

    Fruit beer carbonation

A few months ago I tried making a raspberrry porter. When it was ready for carbonating and bottling I used 3/4 cup of suger and bottled it up. It's been bottled for almost two months now, and I've popped a few open and found that none of them have any carbonation. Being as this was only my...

    Pdx

Howdy..... I've been at this for about a month now. Went and got myself set up with the beginners equipment, and jumped in headfirst. My first batch was a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone that has been sitting in the bottle for about a week now. My second effort was a raspberry porter...
