    primary for a year

    I did an all grain porter last year and then got called away for wor. Long story short is it has been in the primary for a year and I just bottled. Do you think it will be nasty? Or do I have a slim chance it will be ok?

    How can big brewers turn around beer in 5 weeks yet I need at least 5 weeks just to bottle condition?

    I think it's a dumper

    So on my 5th all grain I did an IPA and all went well. Up until I had to bottle. The valve on my bottling bucket started to leak and a stuck my arm in to fix it. Now 22 days later it is a sour mess. My question is, if I already made alcohol why did it still infect my beer?

    I was mashing on my stove stop and saw the temp was falling a little bit, i turned the stove back on and the temp shot up to 180. I was very quick to get it back down to 155. Will it be ok.

    Why do my wheat beers smell

    So I have just started doing all grain and well the 2 wheat beers have smelled. It is not a nice smell but not sour. The beer taste great it just smells funny. does anyone know why?

    Nuts Nuts Nuts

    I have been going through the threads on nuts and have a good idea on how to add them, But how many nuts should I use. I am planning on roasting some walnuts for a stout and adding them to the mash. I many oz of nuts should I use 4, 5,6 oz?

    Bourbon stout question

    I would like to do a bourbon stout and was wondering if I need to use a certain type of stout recipe or just pick a good one and add the bourbon. I was planning on soaking 4-5 oz of oak chips and adding them to the secondary. Does this seem ok, or does anyone have a good recipe?

    Is thier anything wrong with how I mash

    So I use my brew pot to mash in and then use 2 5 gallon buckets, one with holes drilled in the bottom to lauter and sparge. I seem to get good eficiancy from this method.Is thier any reason to spend the money and gofor the cooler method?
