Is my beer ready to bottle?

I have a Belgian White Beer in the fermenter. Been in there for 3 wks today. Last week on the 2 week mark, I opened the fermenter and there was lots of foam and bubbles still on top. Checked the gravity and it was at 1.022, the final gravity is supposed to be 1.012. So I let it go another week...

    Can I bottle it yet?

Kinda new here, I've had my beer in the primary fermenter for 2 weeks as of 3-17. I've only made beer 3 or 4 times before, but have always bottled around 2 weeks. But I still see a bubble in the air lock every 15 seconds or so. Shouldn't it be done by now? Should I take a hydrometer reading or...

    IBU question....

I made this Honey Brown Ale, http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?cPath=178_452_42_170&products_id=343 and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the IBU would be or if you can tell. Its only my 2nd batch and its a little bitter for me. It turned out good, just a little bitter.

    What does this mean?

I made a Honey Brown Ale last Sunday, and it had a O.G. of 1.060 when it was supposed to be 1.052. Today I checked to see where it was at (I have some in a bottle that I checked originally, so don't worry I didn't open it up) and it was at 1.010 when its supposed to be at 1.014 when its...

    Using a blow off tube...

What does everyone recommend? Should I use a 5 gallon primary fermenter with a blow off tube or use a 6.5 gallon with an air lock?

    Question on original gravity.....

I made a Honey Brown Ale yesterday. The O. G. was supposed to be 1.052 and when I got done it was 1.060. I was wondering why that was when I looked and the recipe said to use 5.25 gallons of water and I only used 5. Is this a big deal? What will it do to the finished beer? This is only my 2nd...

Dry yeast or liquid and DME or LME?

I ordered a kit online and had the option of upgrading to DME over LME and also of upgrading to liquid over dry yeast. I upgraded both of them, but am just wondering if there is much difference between them. This will only be my 2nd batch I've made and the 1st batch I used LME and dry yeast so...

What more do I need if I get a glass carboy?

I'm new to home brewing, and I went and bought a cheap kit, and now I would like to get a glass carboy. It came with a 6.5 gallon plastic bucket. What all do I need to get to start using a glass? Also what size of a carboy would you recommend, 5 or 6.5 gallon?

    Little or no head retention?

I don't remember what I all put in it. It was a kit I bought from the LHBS. When do you add the stuff that you're talking about?

    Little or no head retention?

I made an English Brown Ale and it has very good carbonation, but the foam disappears within a minute or so. Any ideas on how to fix that in future batches? I was reading somewhere that said more often than not that it's caused from dirty glasses, but I know they are clean. I'm new to this so I...
