if it doesn"t have a property of.... stamped on it..and you may need to pay for the hydro. go exchange that bad boy. the worst that can happen is they say no.
according to the farmers almanac's best days. Aug. 15 is good for brewing beer. of course any day is good for that. just thought it was cool enough to share.
ahh.. ok, yes I go right to the keg after primary and works great. alot of brewers do this. I you crash cool the fermenter it will clear and you wont have much yeast in the keg. and wont need to jump it.
my first bottle got me 11 if I remember right. dont think I have matched that number since. but jumping kegs,purging and a leak will make a big of difference.

I love everything about AG brewing,from making my keggle to putting together my mash tun. but I was damn proud of my extract beers when I started. are my beers better now? hell yes they are, but thats from temp control of fermentation, learning and just doing it more.
dont get me wrong. I have done some **** in my day. but Im in my 40's now and I take life slow and easy. No way I can have kids pick up the 'phone call from jail' I was so crazy when young that I can say. I have done that...all of that. life is way to short to be doing stupid ****.
cleanliness is next to godliness but im an atheist. but my junk isnt nasty. but I do get lazy from time to time. I give my fermenter a good oxy soak. and boil a gal of water in it before use.(sanke) and clean cold side lines. the rest is gravy.
