    Whirlpool temperature too low?

Yes, I did 0.2oz of CTZ

    Whirlpool temperature too low?

Gotcha. So for the style it may be a soft drinker.

    Whirlpool temperature too low?

It honestly never crossed my mind and I definitely panicked. So you think I am going to get a whole lot of bitter?

    Whirlpool temperature too low?

My 4th brew day (NE IPA) pretty much went without issues. The one thing I learned is that I need to let my wort rest post flameout instead of starting to chill before starting my whirlpool. I guess I hadn't researched the subject enough but in the time it took me to attach my whirlpool drill...

Thermapen MK4... is it worth it?

I have it and like it a lot. Took advantage of a similar sale.

    Grain Mill Rec's

Had good results with the cereal killer so far. Approx. 75% efficiency in both my batches since using it.

    Cypress keezer Build (In progess)

Unless they are on the bottom, I believe the coils are spread throughout the shell of the freezer. It is one of the risks I was willing to take with this project. If I have to change a craigslist freezer every year or 2 at around $50 it is one of the least expensive components. I built it so I...

    Cypress keezer Build (In progess)

Put the finishing touches on the keezer and positioned it behind the bar. Decided on an antique wax to match its surroundings better. I made the tap handles using my first hops and grain (may carve some others but these will do for now). First homebrew in fermentation right now and doing well...

Louisiana Johnson Controls A419 Temperature controller

I have a temperature controller that probably needs a new "NO" terminal on the output. All input and output wiring is correct according to Johnson Controls manual. After running my voltage meter over every connection it seems to have a bad "NO" terminal (the terminal that controls the keezer...

    First brew question

I gotcha. That makes me feel at ease. The airlock was bubbling 5 hours after I pitched so I know there is some activity in there. Fingers crossed for no DMS flavors. Thanks everyone!

    First brew question

I used a german pilsner malt Unfortunately i doubt it was hop debris because i discovered it right before I added my first hops. I did have a short boil over when i was tweaking my burner setup.

    First brew question

So I finished my first brew and hit very close to my numbers. My only nervousness is that I kept the lid on my kettle about 3/4 of the way for 60 minutes on a 90 minute boil. When I took it off at 60 minutes, there was a grey foam stuck to the bottom of the lid. I kept the lid off the rest of...

    Cypress keezer Build (In progess)

Today I sanded with 220, attached the casters, and applied a coat of feed n wax. Really love how the pecky turned out. Next up after it dries, I will install the taps and drill my holes for the interior fan and temp control probe. Any input or critiques are welcome!

    Cypress keezer Build (In progess)

Pic heavy Update: Got some time off from work for the holidays and I made a lot of progress on the keezer. I drilled the shank holes for the taps, aluminum taped the corners, filled the finishing nail holes, and fit the insulation and did some finishing fitting on Christmas Yesterday I...

    Cypress keezer Build (In progess)

Made all my cuts and threw it together yesterday. Still have to attach the trim around the freezer and the border of the lid but it will require more sanding and fitting because I am a total amateur at wood work. Can anyone tell me what size drill bit is needed for a standard shank? I will...

First build, vintage 1940s maybe 50s fridge

Good looking find! Cannot wait to see what you do with it

    Cypress keezer Build (In progess)

Got around to working on the keezer again. Decided on vertical boards in the front and horizontal on the sides since I suck at mitering. Still deciding whether to use a nail gun or biscuit joiner and how I will actually do the top.
