2 sacks of Munich - recipe ideas?

I suggest to do a German Alt. I do one every year that's 85% Weyermann Munich I. Like others have said, Munich is great in many styles.

Single IPA hop you can't live without

It's chinook for me. Works great for bitterness and imparts a great citrus flavor.

Traveling to Kentucky - anything I should look for?

This is pretty much it in Bowling Green http://www.whitesquirrelbrewery.com/ I live in Lexington and have had a few of their beers that were pretty good. If you stop in Lexington and could only stop at one place I would go to Ethereal Other's in Lexington: Country Boy Blue Stallion West Sixth

    DIY mash tun question/help

I have a 10gal cooler like that from Lowes with a bazooka tube and it works great. I have done over 70 batches with this setup. I like the round coolers because cleaning is simple; put a garbage bag around it and turn it upside down then spray it out.

    Ss Brewtech Customer Service

I've had great service as well. Had an airlock clog on a brew bucket and the pressure buckled the lid and hings and they walked walked me through how to fix it so I wouldn't have to buy anything. I will always go to SS Brewtech for new equipment first.

    SS Brewbucket Review

I have 2 for a year now and love them. If you follow their instruction for the first cleaning using TPS there isn't an issue. The rotating ball value can be annoying, I have never had issues with leaking but I just wasn't comfortable rotating it. I honestly stopped rotating it straight up and...

    Worst Craft Breweries

Dayton Beer Company, Ohio. All their beers seem to have a off flavor. I don't know if they aren't cleaning their lines or kegs as they should or what but every single beer just doesn't taste right. Always reminds me of dirty water.

    Brew Bucket First Clean

Ss Brewtech instructions in the user's guide says to never use oxiclean as a cleaner. "OxiClean or other peroxide cleaners in combination with hard water. These can cause calcium carbonate to precipitate onto the surface. If this happens re-passivate your Brew Bucket."

Mark 2 keg and carboy washer

One of the best purchases I've made with brewing equipment. Uses less water and cleaner/sanitizer. Make sure to get Saniclean for your sanitizer and there is no problem with foam.

What are your contrarian/"unpopular" beer opinions?

Canned beer is awful and is only popular because it's cheaper than glass.

    How Much Bourbon?

I would do 1cup of bourbon, that should provide a well balanced flavor and not over power a brown ale. If you want more you can always pour some into your glass.

Best beer you can't make again?

Won a competition with a local brewery where they handed out a brett yeast blend they made. My fault for not collecting some of the yeast. Currently going through different strains to find the closest thing to theirs.

How Far Would You Drive To A LHBS?

If I ever live in a city where there isn't a LHBS I'm ordering. My time is more valuable than paying shipping.
