    Forgot to add Irish Moss

I never use it, cold crash if you can and use gelatin one way or the other.

    Inkbird set button does nothing?

Might take longer than 3 seconds. Hold the set down until the light starts flashing and then use the arrows up and down. Hold the set again to make it hold the set point.

I think my beers are oxyidized

Sure. If you Google " auto siphon leaks " you will see lots of posts about this. It tends to draw air in around the seals on the piston. You can confirm if yours is leaking by siphoning water into a clear container with the hose submerged in the tank you are siphoning into. You will see lots...

I think my beers are oxyidized

If you are using an auto siphon to transfer or bottle, look for oxygenation there first. A leak at the o ring is a very efficient way to aerate your beer. You can check it by siphoning water into a clear glass vessel. Submerge the siphon outlet. If you see bubbles you are drawing air from somewhere.

    Nice, welcome.

AEB vs AMCYL kegs - any difference?

    Same here, both are fine.

    Fist time kegging

I would also suggest you avoid the rolling and/or shaking your first few times. It is pretty easy to over carbonate a keg that way. If I do shake I only do it for about 30 seconds when I first hook up the CO2. If it doesn't improve after you chill it and hook up the picnic tap, turn off the CO2...

Having problems brewing ales in contrast to lagers

Totally agree with the temperature comment. Most ale yeasts like it in the mid 60's as well. Try a batch at controlled temp and see how that goes. Cheers

How much gas am I wasting by kegging a small batch in a 5 gal keg?

2.5 gallons is 0.33 cubic feet. CO2 has a specific volume of approx 8.5 cubic feet per pound. You are wasting 0.039 pounds.

Most critical steps to produce the best tasting all grain beer?

I second this. Made a world of difference to keep temps down in the mid 60's for fermentation.

To Keg or Not to Keg

This will work great if you have room in your fridge. You'll need a CO2 tank as well. It will get you going right away. I would go with the ball lock system. Cheers

    Big problem

That will be just fine if you cooled it well.

Can I keep a spare keg on hand?

You can definitely age beer in kegs. Keep it purged with carbon dioxide and you can keep it about as long as you want to.

    Keg level indicator

We've sold quite a few to people using keezers. A friend that helped us test the originals has a keezer with 4 to 6 kegs and he has no issues using one in every keg. He's lined them up so he can look down between four kegs and see all four indicators at once. Keep in mind, you only need an...

    Keg level indicator

Thanks for your comments, ff you still have the directions that came with the unit, take a look at them again. Otherwise, you can check them out on our website. The video is helpful. The instructions should tell you to install the float in the keg after you fill it. They should also...

    Keg level indicator

We include a larger "capture" magnet with the kit so it is pretty easy to catch hold of the float. It probably helps to have a visual the first time or two you do it.

    Keg level indicator

Great question. We test every float at 30 psi for a two to three days before they are shipped. That said, we do recommend in our instructions that it be installed after carbonating as some regulators are a little sketchy on pressure control. If you have good control, it won't be an issue, but...

We've just come out with a simple, inexpensive method to monitor your keg levels. Check it out at www.ballandkeg.com Cheers

Which way are you turning the adjustment screw. You typically turn them to the right (clockwise) to increase the pressure.
